Task conversations arrive in Neuralist

January 19, 2026 • By John

The first feature release of 2026 introduces task conversations.

Each task now includes a Conversation tab where you can add comments tied directly to that task. This gives you a place to capture discussion and context alongside the work, without leaving Neuralist.

If you are on the Flowstate or No Limits plan, the Conversation tab also lets you chat with Nova inside the task. You can ask general questions related to what you are working on while keeping everything anchored to the task itself.

For example, you might ask:
What type of fastener should I use for mounting a shelf into drywall?
Why does my cake sometimes sink after I take it out of the oven?
How many hours of sun does lavender need to thrive?
What is this task actually asking me to do?

Nova understands the task context and keeps track of the conversation as it grows, so follow-up questions make sense without repeating yourself.

If you are working on a recipe task, the conversation might look like this:
Can I replace whole milk with oat milk here?
Nova might explain that it usually works, but can affect richness and texture.

What about soy milk instead?
Nova could note that it behaves more like dairy, but may add a subtle flavor depending on the brand.

All conversation history stays attached to the task, so you can return later and pick up exactly where you left off.

This is the first new feature of 2026. More updates are coming to Neuralist throughout the year, so keep an eye out for future announcements.
